Registered Nurses are crucial in the collaboration and execution of the continuum of care for their patients.
This role is perfect for individuals eager to apply their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to significantly impact their patients' health and overall well-being.
Responsibilities include Diagnostic Work-Ups, Surgical Intervention, Major Surgery, Step Down from ICU, Adult Cystic Fibrosis, Wound Care, and Accredited Bariatric Surgery (2-3 patients/day).Competencies, Skills, Training & Abilities:
- Adheres to the nursing process.
- Executes fundamental nursing skills proficiently.
- Communicates effectively and compassionately with all members of the healthcare team, including patients.
- Efficiently navigates and retrieves information from the computer and healthcare records.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrates understanding and utilization of safe patient handling equipment.
Must be able to endure exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, temperature fluctuations, and contact with bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
- Must meet all health requirements as outlined by the organization (i.e., PPD, respirator training, vaccinations, as applicable).
- Must be capable of moving throughout the hospital and between workstations, including prolonged periods of standing. ** Must frequently move, lift, or carry patients or equipment of varying weights. ** Must be able to lift medium materials, non-material handling.
