Executive Chef

Job Summary:

Salt and Vine, a high-end Italian restaurant, is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including pasta, sauces, and other menu items, using our recipes and techniques.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and refrigerators, to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Monitor inventory and supplies, reporting any discrepancies or concerns to management.
• Participate in menu planning and development, providing input on new dishes and menu items.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to improve culinary skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
