About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Downtown Veterinary Clinic. As a key member of our medical support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily clinic operations, including maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide medical care to patients under the direction of a licensed veterinarian, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, responding to their questions and concerns, and providing education on animal health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Participate in special cleaning duties and maintain a high level of organization and efficiency in the clinic.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
