Marine Test Electrician Job Description

**Job Summary:**

Tradesmen International, Inc. is seeking an experienced Marine Test Electrician to join our team. As a Marine Test Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical performance deficiencies, reading schematics, and determining the cause of faults in electrical systems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Troubleshoot electrical performance deficiencies in marine electrical systems
* Read and interpret shipboard electrical installation drawings, wiring tables, and schematics
* Test and inspect low, medium, and high-voltage cable installations
* Work with electrical component systems, contractor relays, overload relays, transformers, terminal boards, LVR low-voltage release, and LVP low-voltage protection

**Requirements:**

* Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the electrical field
* Proficient in accurately reading and measuring with tools, including tape measures and stick rulers
* Expertise in reading and interpreting shipboard electrical installation drawings, wiring tables, and schematics
* Extensive knowledge of electrical theory
* Solid understanding of LVR low-voltage release and LVP low-voltage protection
* Proficient in reading and identifying equipment and component label plates
* Experienced in lockout/tag out and hazardous energy control procedures
* Physically able to climb vertical and inclined stairs and ladders, crawl, bend, stoop, work at heights, and work in confined spaces
