We are seeking a Retail Superintendent to oversee and manage all onsite construction activities, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate logistics, schedule, and day-to-day trade activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to create, update, and maintain project schedules, including Master Project Schedules.
  • Perform daily inspections of units and prepare, maintain, and distribute three-week schedules to stakeholders.
  • Directly supervise all on-site project subcontractors, ensuring quality control and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Act as a mediator for subcontractor/supplier and staff-related issues, administering first aid when necessary.
  • Approve material requests and delivery, and assist the Project Manager in overseeing field construction processes.
  • Walk with 3rd party inspections, reporting deficiencies, problems, and delays to the project manager.
  • Responsible for the walk-through inspection ensuring passage from local municipal inspectors.

Requirements:

  • 5-15 years of relevant single building retail construction experience.
  • Experience as a lead superintendent on 2+ retail commercial projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.
  • Team leader with effective communication skills.

  • $110,000 - $140,000 base salary, dependent on experience.
