Telecommunications Specialist

About the Role: As a Telecommunications Specialist at Aerotek, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining network infrastructure in our Temple, TX data center. This is a Contract to Hire position with opportunities for growth and career advancement.

Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Job: This role involves working at heights, using hand and power tools, and climbing ladders to install cable trays, switches, receptacles, and other devices. You will also be responsible for pulling wire, overseeing conduit installations, and operating tools that require two hands. Additionally, you may work with fiber cables, terminations, and testing copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong ability to pull cable through pathways, terminate, and test copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6).
• Experience pulling fiber cables.
• Proficiency in cable tray, ladder rack, and j-hook installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other project documents.
• Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
