Job Title: Security Engineer

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in White Plains, NY (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, network security, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage incident response programs to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.
  • Design and implement network security solutions to protect against cyber threats.
  • Analyze network logs and system logs to identify security vulnerabilities and incidents.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and networks.
  • Implement NIST information security guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Use forensic tools to analyze data and identify security incidents.
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS, and DLP technologies to detect and prevent security threats.
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of privileged and confidential customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field of study, such as computer science or cybersecurity.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity, network security, and incident response.
  • Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, G-Suite, O365, and Azure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
