Job Summary:

The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for ensuring all linen for guest rooms, pool, Food & Beverage, Spa, and Fitness areas are processed to meet Omni Hotels & Resorts' standards and business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate washers, dryers, sheet folders, and towel folders to maintain cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Separate and wash all soiled linens, ensuring no foreign objects are introduced into the machines.
  • Understand and operate the Ironer to achieve optimal results.
  • Count and stock linen shelves to maintain inventory levels.
  • Clean the laundry area and blow down all machines to prevent damage and maintain hygiene.
  • Clean all dryers at least twice a shift to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Participate in monthly inventories to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Attend department meetings and other company-required training to stay up-to-date on procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni Hotels & Resorts' standards, as required by scheduling, which may vary according to the needs of the resort.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the laundry department.

Requirements:

  • Previous laundry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, performing repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to live within 50 miles of the hotel.

Working Environment:

  • Interior of the laundry room with daily travel around the property.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, especially heat.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals.
