About the RoleThis is a regular part-time float position (20 hours/week) supporting our clinics in the Garner area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner and a strong background in family medicine or primary care practice. You will be responsible for providing primary and family evidenced-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.
- Order and administer immunizations and injections, and provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.
- Complete administrative duties, including opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, and collecting payment.
- Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
- Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent.
- Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
