Key ResponsibilitiesYour primary duties will include:
- Patient Assessment: Conducting thorough admission and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions, addressing their physical, psychological, and spiritual needs, and notifying physicians of any significant changes.
- Care Planning: Developing, directing, and documenting individualized care plans, ensuring safe transitions and discharge planning in collaboration with other clinical disciplines.
- Implementation of Care: Preparing patients for treatments and surgeries, monitoring their conditions, and implementing safety protocols including medication management.
- Evaluation of Care: Regularly reassessing patients post-intervention and adjusting care plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with healthcare standards to ensure legal compliance and quality care.
- Professional Development: Upholding all professional licenses and competencies, attending mandatory training sessions, and staying informed on current healthcare practices.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Diploma; a Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.
- A valid RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Preferred experience in a medical-surgical hospital setting.
