About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Herschend Family Entertainment. As a key member of our food service operations, you will be responsible for leading and developing our culinary team, ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a safe and healthy food environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes to enhance our food offerings
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation
    • Monitor and control food costs to ensure profitability
  • Culinary Team Management
    • Lead and develop a team of culinary staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation
    • Provide training and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
    • Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure high standards are maintained
  • Food Safety and Quality Assurance
    • Ensure that all food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards

  • Inventory Management and Control
    • Manage and control inventory levels to ensure that all ingredients and supplies are available when needed

  • Customer Service and Satisfaction
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and have a positive dining experience
    • Monitor and respond to customer feedback to ensure that all concerns are addressed
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
    • Ensure that all food service operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • At least 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment
    • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
