We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Herschend Family Entertainment. As a key member of our food service operations, you will be responsible for leading and developing our culinary team, ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a safe and healthy food environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Presentation
- Develop and implement new menu items and recipes to enhance our food offerings
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Monitor and control food costs to ensure profitability
- Culinary Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of culinary staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation
- Provide training and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure high standards are maintained
- Food Safety and Quality Assurance
- Ensure that all food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Investigate and resolve any food safety or quality issues that may arise
- Inventory Management and Control
- Manage and control inventory levels to ensure that all ingredients and supplies are available when needed
- Monitor and control inventory costs to ensure profitability
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and minimize inventory costs
- Customer Service and Satisfaction
- Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and have a positive dining experience
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback to ensure that all concerns are addressed
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
- Ensure that all food service operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

- Education and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
