Employment Type: Travel
The Med-Surg RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients within a medical-surgical environment. This role involves:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with diverse medical conditions, including post-operative recovery, acute illnesses, and chronic health issues.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and monitoring the physical, emotional, and educational needs of patients.
- Administering medications, including IV therapy and blood products.
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs accurately.
- Documenting patient care thoroughly in medical records.
- Working with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment within the unit.
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required for this position.
The Med-Surg RN is a vital member of the healthcare team, playing a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of patients. This is a contracted travel position, not full-time.
TLC Nursing Job ID: Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
