Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our Family Birth Center, you will provide high-quality patient care to new families, working in various roles to support post-partum mothers and newborn infants.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and assess patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, certified nurse-midwives, and patients' families.
  • Deliver patient education on prevention and healthy habits, utilizing your knowledge and skills to promote positive outcomes.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, assess their needs, and collaborate with healthcare teams to devise individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and provide treatments according to physicians' orders, fostering a supportive and compassionate environment for patients.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • One year of related work experience, with previous Labor and Delivery experience preferred or 1-2 years Med/Surg experience, or new graduate with completion of senior practicum in L&D, Mother/Baby unit or nursery.
  • Current state licensure as a registered nurse, Basic Life Support certification, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or completion within 6 months of date of hire.
  • National Certification Corporation (NCC) or American Nurses Credentialing Center certification preferred.
