We are seeking a skilled Medical Director - Value-Based Outpatient Medicine Specialist to join our team at Conviva Care Centers in El Paso, TX.
Job SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to lead and manage outpatient medicine services, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, and continuity of care. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for managing complex health-related issues, keeping thorough medical records, and making informed decisions regarding patient care and departmental strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee outpatient medicine services, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to value-based care principles.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve health outcomes, reduce readmissions, and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless coordination of care and effective communication among providers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices in family and internal medicine.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, empathy, and respect among healthcare professionals and patients.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current and unrestricted medical license or willingness to obtain one in the state of Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited MD or DO program from a reputable university.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (Geriatric Medicine preferred).
- Active and unrestricted DEA license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster strong relationships with colleagues and patients.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to practice in a value-based care setting.
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- A minimum of two to five years of directly applicable experience in value-based care settings.
- Experience managing Medicare Advantage panels of patients and understanding Best Practices in coordinated care environments.
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage.
- Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus.
- Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.
We offer a competitive base salary range of $199,400 to $298,300 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you can expect:
- Total Compensation Package (base pay + bonus) could exceed $300k, depending on experience and location.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) with employer match, CME allowance/time, occurrence-based malpractice insurance, generous relocation assistance, sign-on bonus opportunity, life insurance/disability, and 18 days paid time off (PTO)/8 paid holidays.
