About the Role

As an Aircraft Engine Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on aircraft engines, including troubleshooting and repairing basic engine and related aircraft problems. You will also assist in complex engine and related aircraft repairs, perform removal, installation, and replacement of engines and accessories, and disassemble, inspect, and reassemble aircraft engines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic inspections of engines and aircraft, including thrust reversers, major periodic inspections, and hot section inspections
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic engine and related aircraft problems at on-site and off-site locations
  • Assist in complex engine and related aircraft repairs at on-site and off-site locations
  • Perform removal, installation, and replacement of engines, accessories, and Line Replace Units (LRU)
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble aircraft engines
  • Assist with fueling and defueling aircraft as required
  • Assist with engine operational check and functional tests
  • Assist Aviation Maintenance Technicians in the operation of ground support equipment
  • Perform basic sheet metal and electrical repairs as required
  • Access and re-install aircraft components as required

Requirements

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Typically 3 years' experience in aircraft turbine engine maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and repair manuals
