Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Body Repair Specialist to join our team at Gerber Collision & Glass. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Plan and prepare cost estimates for customers, utilizing various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
- Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage when possible; mix and apply filler resins to repair dents when other methods are not feasible.
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections of vehicles and replace them with new or aftermarket parts. Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
- Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
- Weld and otherwise attach or fit parts into place, and prepare vehicles for painting by applying factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent.
- Achieve work orders within labor time guidelines by inspecting vehicles after repair and ensuring all work has been executed correctly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrate ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
- Show willingness to collaborate with other repairers within the auto body shop.
- Exhibit thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
- Display knowledge of how to use tools required for the trade.
