At MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures or receiving treatment in the medical-surgical unit.
About the RoleIn this pivotal position, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions. Your expertise in clinical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication will be essential in providing the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health conditions by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate records of patient care.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation, and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist surgeons and physicians during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, sterile supplies, and medications.
- Perform various nursing procedures, including wound care, catheterization, and tube feedings, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, medications, and lifestyle modifications, promoting patient empowerment and understanding.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs and goals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation, adhering to regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide immediate care to stabilize patients, ensuring timely interventions and optimal outcomes.
- Minimum Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, AD)
- Required Licensure / Certification: Registered Nurse (RN), CPR-BCLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Required Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Maintain professional appearance, ability to handle confidential information
