Position SummaryThe Electrical Assembly Technician is tasked with executing basic cable assembly tasks under general supervision. This role is crucial in producing high-quality cables, wire harnesses, and integrated products tailored for the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble simple point-to-point wire and fiber cables by following detailed drawings and instructions, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Utilize basic hand tools, including heat guns, hand crimpers, power screwdrivers, and solder pots, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Identify wires using a basic color code system.
- Complete all necessary documentation related to cable assembly processes.
- Exhibit a solid understanding of the skills required for the Assembler I role.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, free from hazardous materials.
- Familiarize oneself with all safety procedures and guidelines established within the facility.

Work EnvironmentThe Carlisle IT facility is equipped with various machinery and processes that may present potential hazards. Safety measures, including engineering controls and administrative policies, are in place to mitigate risks. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes may be required in specific areas.

Export ComplianceThis position may involve access to ITAR and/or EAR technical data, necessitating that candidates qualify as a US Person, defined as a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
QualificationsTo excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a related field.
- Ability to accurately measure using a ruler or tape measure.
- Previous soldering experience is highly desirable.
Language proficiency in English is required, encompassing workplace-level grammar, composition, and communication skills.
