Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nutrition Laboratory Technician to join our team at Dayton Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Clinical Nutrition Lab, you will be responsible for the preparation, distribution, and management of enteral nutrition for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and label enteral nutrition products, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
  • Manage inventory and storage of enteral nutrition products, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with the dietitian and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely delivery of enteral nutrition.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to address any questions or concerns regarding enteral nutrition.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
  • NDTR Certification preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in nutrition/medical education or applicable area (dietetics, human milk technician, clinical laboratory, biosciences, pharmacy lab, patient care or medical assistant).
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with every other weekend and holiday. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
