Maintenance Technician I Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician I at Ivy Technology, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position involves performing repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical, welding, painting, plumbing, and/or carpentry repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
  • Follow preventive maintenance instructions and ensure that records are properly documented.
  • May perform or assist in the installation, relocation, and reinstallation of new and/or existing equipment.
  • May perform or assist in the repair and maintenance of support equipment, including air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems, HVAC, and DI water systems.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Technical certification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer, including using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Ivy's software packages.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, and e-mail skills.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Individual will be required to stand and walk or otherwise traverse in order to be accessible to the production floor for extended periods of time.

The person in this position will be required to regularly exert at least 10 lbs. of force to push, pull, or otherwise move objects and may be required to carry or lift objects up to 50 lbs.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and/or documents, viewing a computer terminal, and/or visual inspection of products or machinery.

The person in this position may need to occasionally sit, type, climb stairs, bend, reach, kneel, or twist for minimal periods of time.

Employees should not attempt to lift, pull, or push a load in excess of 50 lbs. without assistance. Care should always be taken when lifting, pushing, or pulling in an awkward position.
