Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior AP/AR Clerk to join our team at Heritage Real Estate Company. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of our financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage accounts payable, including account coding, check preparation, and timely payment of all payables.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including timely tenant billings and accounting for rent deposits.
  • Monitor cash balances and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process payables for property construction projects.
  • Assist with financial statement reports for property management.
  • Assist with annual Operating Expense reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual Form 1099 reporting.
  • Timely make all property tax and personal property tax payments.
Requirements
  • Five (5) years experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable.
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial systems.
  • Two years of Quickbooks or equivalent experience.
  • Commercial real estate experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Yardi software (or similar property management software) preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office or similar software applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Self-motivated, punctual, and efficient in handling work assignments.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize time and workload.
  • Must be able to work with sensitive and confidential material with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Must have a good driving record, valid, driver's license, vehicle insurance and a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong team player, friendly, patient.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
Compensation

Yearly Salary: $45K-$52K DOE plus benefits.
