Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative design solutions for projects involving nuclear and hazardous waste remediation, chemical processing, and nuclear ventilation, HVAC.
  • Conduct thorough design analysis to established codes and standards, such as ASME B31.3 and ASME B&PV.
  • Ensure a safe working environment in office and shop settings, with a focus on safety in all aspects of assigned roles.
  • Provide support to multiple simultaneous projects and project teams, effectively communicating task status and progress.
  • Collaborate with designers to produce detailed design drawings and generate test plans/procedures.
  • Maintain configuration and control of baseline drawings and documents.
  • Review projects to ensure compliance with basic design principles.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering design to industry standards.
  • Proven experience in preparing design deliverables, resolving technical review comments, and finalizing design deliverables.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to focus on project needs and delivery schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PE License.
  • DOE experience.
  • Experience at a nuclear facility or Navy Nuclear power.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and learn new skills while contributing to project teams.
Working Conditions:

This position is performed in an office environment with occasional visits to the company's Fabrication Shop for testing and guidance to the Shop staff.
