Job Summary:The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance and repair work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This includes overseeing and directing technicians to execute their work in accordance with task requirements and company procedures, while ensuring compliance with FAA/EASA/CAAC regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform incoming review to identify, control, segregate, and maintain all materials according to manufacturer's requirements or standard industry practices.
- Read and understand drawing requirements, parts and assembly configurations, and be familiar with First Article Inspection requirements.
- Have a basic understanding of controlling non-conforming material, writing rejection reports, and performing initial self-evaluation of work.
- Ensure proper documentation has been completed and signoffs performed as required, including supplier documentation and certifications.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with manuals, instructions, engineering drawings, and any other applicable documentation and work instructions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Support training and development activities as needed.
- Some after-hours support on evenings and weekends will be required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the aviation industry.
- Working knowledge of aircraft modifications and documentation requirements.
- High-energy personality and desire to learn and grow quickly.
- Strong track record of excellent decision-making and collaborative work.
- Excellent, polished communication skills.
- Proficiency in using various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.
- Fluent in English language.
The Quality Assurance Inspector will be seated at a desk, using a phone and computer, for much of their workday. When fulfilling inspection duties, physical requirements may include walking long distances, crouching, crawling, standing on ladders or scaffolds, using hoists and lifts, using precision instruments, and other necessary hand tools requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
