Position Summary:
The Field Engineer will support the Project Manager in overseeing the daily operational, technical, and administrative aspects of assigned construction projects. This role is primarily field-based, providing support to both the Project Manager and on-site teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee subcontractors as necessary, addressing job site challenges and utilizing independent judgment to resolve discrepancies and significant issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Initiation: Review plans and specifications, assess contract requirements, distribute drawings for pricing, and establish document control procedures.
- Kick-off Coordination: Organize initial project meetings and maintain document integrity.
- RFI Management: Compile and process Requests for Information effectively.
- Change Order Processing: Review and manage contract revisions and change proposals.
- Submittal Processing: Ensure accuracy and timely turnover of submittals.
- Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling, report preparation, and compliance monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering Technology with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, 2+ years of administrative experience in the construction industry or relevant coursework.
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and practices.
- Proficiency with technology and familiarity with BIM and LEED is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism in interactions with clients and colleagues.
