About the Investment Intern Role
As an Investment Intern at the Public School Retirement System, you will be part of a team responsible for managing a portfolio of over $58 billion in assets. The primary focus of the investment program is to achieve an annual return of at least 7.3% over long periods of time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer and investment staff in managing multiple asset classes, including public equity, private equity, private credit, real estate, and hedged assets.
- Provide support to the Investments department, including data analysis, financial modeling, and report preparation.
- Collaborate with the investment team to develop and implement investment strategies.
- Conduct research and analysis on various investment opportunities and present findings to the investment team.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of finance and investment principles, including financial analysis and portfolio management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
