About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical administration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and management in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plans
  • Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
  • Order and interpret medical laboratory test results, diagnose medical conditions, and administer medications or treatments
  • Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts, ensuring efficient patient processing and treatment
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, and manage inventory of medical supplies and instruments
Requirements
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Successful completion and maintenance of ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be HIPAA compliant at all times
Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be required to stand, walk, and sit frequently, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. They will also be required to handle, grasp, and feel objects, and talk and hear constantly.
