Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a talented and innovative Senior Frontend Software Engineer who will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing products that provide value to our clients. As an early member of our engineering team, you will engage with all services utilized by our customers and help shape the future direction of our offerings. You will work collaboratively with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to create new features from ideation through design and implementation. Your ability to identify and prioritize impactful challenges will be essential, as will your commitment to mentoring fellow engineers and enhancing our processes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, scale, and refine the data models, services, and systems that drive our APIs.
  • Create frontend experiences utilized by every Pinwheel customer, partner, and user.
  • Design and deliver full-stack products, engaging with all layers of our architecture.
  • Collaborate across various teams to deliver comprehensive features and products to our users.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs and design systems to address them effectively.
  • Enhance tooling, processes, and engineering standards within the team.
  • Provide mentorship to engineers and contribute to team growth.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Over 6 years of experience in building and maintaining full-stack applications, covering data modeling, application logic, and user interfaces.
  • Extensive experience with React and other contemporary frontend frameworks, as well as backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Rails, Gin).
  • Experience in delivering projects that involve multiple teams.
  • A willingness to learn new systems and technologies as our business evolves.
  • Ability to design systems while evaluating trade-offs in scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • A strong passion for collaborating closely with customers.
  • Creativity, empathy, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work onsite at our headquarters for part of the week.
