Position Overview:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) within our Elder Care Program, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our participants.

Job Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the PCA Coordinator, you will assist participants in creating a supportive environment tailored to their individual needs.

Your responsibilities will include aiding participants with mobility exercises, fostering their independence in daily activities, and helping them maintain their current level of functioning.

You will deliver care that prioritizes participant satisfaction and retention.

Your duties will encompass assisting with walking, transfers, the use of mobility aids, restroom visits, toileting, changing clothing, feeding, showering, and facilitating social interactions at the center.

Understanding and supporting the mission and core values of Providence Health & Services is essential for successful performance, alongside a commitment to teamwork.

Personal Care Assistants will work both at the center and assist with transportation needs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of nurse delegation for nursing assistance training within 120 days.
  • 70 hours of foundational training within 120 days.
  • Mental health specialty training within 120 days.
  • Dementia specialty training within 120 days.
  • Valid Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience in long-term care or related geriatric and/or rehabilitative settings.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in assisted living.
