Job Title: Behavior Interventionist

Cortica is seeking a skilled Behavior Interventionist to join its team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences.

Job Summary

The Behavior Interventionist will provide direct behavior therapy services to children with autism and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in 1:1 and group settings
  • Develop and implement positive behavior strategies as developed and analyzed with the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Work in various settings, including homes, communities, schools, and clinics, to provide direct behavior-analytic care as determined in the child's assessment and treatment plan
  • Document all interactions, including session notes and data collection, to ensure accurate tracking of progress and treatment effectiveness
  • Collaborate with families and supervisors to establish a supportive environment for treatment and education across all settings of care
  • Adhere to Cortica's crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and mandated reporting
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, preferably those with autism
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification or willingness to obtain BCAT credential via Cortica's training program
  • Valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products

The base direct pay range for this role is $21.18 to $28.42, with indirect pay of $16.00 per hour. Compensation will be adjusted based on relevant experience, education level, and location.
