Youth Prevention Advocate

We are seeking a skilled Youth Prevention Advocate to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about promoting healthy choices and lifestyles among youth.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing tobacco education initiatives, recruiting youth for prevention programs, and working with schools and community organizations to promote healthy behaviors. You will also work on legislative visits to advocate for funding for prevention programs.

• Implement program goals and objectives related to service delivery
• Maintain effective communication with direct supervisor and other staff members
• Report incidents and maintain accurate records of services provided
• Develop and implement prevention programming in schools and community settings
• Possess knowledge of best practices in ATOD prevention programming and cultural competency principles

• Bachelor's degree in education or health discipline, or minimum 2 years experience working with youth or families
• Prior experience working with youth or families
• Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal clearance, and verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

• Competitive salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience
