We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have experience in preparing and maintaining equipment during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing patient care by assessing patient conditions. This role involves collaboration with cardiologists and leadership to facilitate high-quality patient care and includes serving as a preceptor for new staff.
Responsibilities:- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation.
- Use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Foster strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
- Completion of an accredited 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology.
- Necessary certifications, including American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) eligibility and/or current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Prior experience in a procedural area is preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration or certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
- An estimated hourly salary range of $27.84-$45.46 based on previous work experience.
