About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Coding Specialist to join our team at Rennova Health, Inc. As a key member of our coding department, you will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign accurate diagnostic and procedure codes according to clinical documentation and official coding guidelines
  • Work closely with providers, clinical staff, and patient financial teams to ensure optimal coding practices
  • Ensure timely completion of coding tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Monitor and resolve coding errors or missing documentation from medical records
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret clinical dictation and apply medical terminology
  • Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations and comply with confidentiality requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care coding experience in one or more specialties
  • Proven knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ICD-10-PCS coding systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Salary Estimate: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
