About the Role:
We are seeking an Electrical Power Systems Design Specialist to join our team in Portland, OR. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing substation protection and control projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV. This role requires a strong understanding of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design substation protection and control projects for electric utilities
• Develop bill of materials based on design criteria
• Conduct quality control checks on wiring designs
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet project needs
• Meet deadlines under pressure situations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients
• Strong analytical skills and proven problem solver
• Ability to read and design substation protection and control drawings
