Role Overview

US Foods, Inc. is a leading food distributor seeking an experienced Route Driver to join our team.

About the Job

This role involves delivering a variety of food products to customers while providing exceptional service. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver food products to customers on scheduled routes
  • Unload products from trucks using hand trucks and place items in customer storage areas
  • Perform repeated manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds
  • Make frequent stops during work shifts
  • Deliver products in inclement weather conditions
  • Verify delivery of items with customers
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, and no driver's license suspensions in the past three years
  • Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry required
