Job Title: Business Analyst

Genesis10 is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Austin, TX.

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst will work closely with IT project teams and business users to collect, clarify, and document business requirements. This role involves working on data management initiatives, analyzing business processes, and developing functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business owners and technology staff to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Build and maintain a broad view of business processes to understand dependencies, redundancies, and cross-functional impacts.
  • Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with the user community.
  • Develop use cases to explain business requirements and contribute a business user's perspective during design sessions.
  • Coordinate across IT to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within the organization.
  • Create and maintain documentation on business areas' processes and business rules.
  • Manage user testing and training for new technology and solutions.
  • Mentor and work with other business analysts as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with process mapping and documentation, including identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products/applications.
  • Experience with custom software development, Software as a Service (SaaS) or integration projects.
  • Ability to serve as the translator between business area users and technical staff.
  • Ability to work effectively on both large, cross-functional teams and independently.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate group work sessions.
  • Strong customer service, analytical, and research skills required.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer technology, business, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in software development.
  • Business analysis/requirements analysis experience in support of commercial off-the-shelf and custom software solutions and SaaS implementation.
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification preferred.
