Gravel Transport Specialist

Job Summary:

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Gravel Transport Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting sand, stone, and other materials to customers and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a vehicle to transport materials on assigned routes
  • Ensure secure load and proper tarp closure
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment are in good working condition
  • Communicate any mechanical issues to the supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and equipment
  • Adhere to all safety standards and regulations
  • Record services performed and attendance at meetings
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment is an asset

Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License with endorsements
  • One year of driving experience is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items
  • Sitting is required for approximately 75% of the workday
  • Work in loud and outdoor conditions

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to various weather conditions and chemicals
  • Work environment is typically loud
