As a valued member of the US Foods team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring timely delivery of our products to customers across the region. With a strong commitment to safety and a passion for logistics, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods from warehouses to customers' locations.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL A Delivery Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will have a valid CDL Class A license, a clean driving record, and excellent communication skills. In this role, you will work independently, managing your route and schedule to ensure efficient and safe delivery of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Products Safely and Efficiently: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods from warehouses to customers' locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any issues or concerns they may have.
  • Manage Time Effectively: Plan and manage your route and schedule to ensure timely delivery of our products, meeting tight deadlines and schedules.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Vehicle: Regularly inspect and maintain your vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Meet Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, reporting any incidents or near-misses to management promptly.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid CDL Class A license, required endorsements, and DOT qualifications.
  • Experience: Minimum six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry, preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred.
  • Safety Record: No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, and no driver's license suspensions in the past three years.

The estimated salary for this role is $33.34 per hour, based on experience and location.
