About Us: CAMBA is a collaborative network of professionals, volunteers, clients, and community partners dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment in New York City. Our mission is to ensure that all individuals, especially children and families, have access to essential resources and support systems. We provide over 180 integrated programs spanning various sectors, including Education, Family Support, Employment Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Assistance, impacting the lives of more than 73,000 individuals annually.

Our Facilities: CAMBA operates multiple shelters and support centers, offering a safe and structured environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. Our Broadway House Women's Shelter accommodates 200 women, with a significant portion facing mental health and substance use challenges.

Role Responsibilities

Key Duties:

  • Facilitate effective communication with clients, staff, and external partners.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on mental health practices and assessment techniques.
  • Design and implement ongoing training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Establish partnerships with community organizations and mental health service providers.
  • Inspire and mentor staff to achieve their professional goals.
  • Ensure comprehensive case management documentation is completed by all team members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including service plans and assessments.
  • Contribute to program development addressing residents' needs in housing, mental health, and employment.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and follow-up for clients in need.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
  • Resolve program-related issues while adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions to evaluate and enhance staff performance.
  • Manage resistance to change among clients and staff effectively.
  • Implement disciplinary measures when necessary to uphold team standards.
  • Track and document client progress towards their goals.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of client documentation.
  • Prepare and review staff time sheets.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members.
  • Audit client files for compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensure proper use of electronic databases and maintain data integrity.
  • Effectively manage time and coordinate program activities.
  • Participate in administrative meetings and contribute to discussions.
  • Compile necessary information for reports to management and funding agencies.
  • Assist in creating promotional materials for the program.
  • Engage with the community to raise awareness of the program.
  • Screen potential clients for eligibility and schedule intake appointments.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, or related field with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven supervisory experience is essential.
