Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our in-house therapy team at Resurgens Orthopaedics. As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of over 30 orthopedic surgeons by treating a diverse caseload of pre-op, post-op, and sports medicine patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians.
  • Compile rehabilitation strategies to involve specific exercises to stretch and strengthen muscles, improve posture, balance, and endurance.
  • Document progress, re-evaluate physical findings, and modify treatment strategies as appropriate.
  • Work as a team with other professionals to set goals for maximal patient functional independence.
  • Restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health.
  • Test and measure patients' strength, range of motion, balance, and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.
  • Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient charts.
  • Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for re-evaluation.
  • Administer manual exercises, massage, or traction to relieve pain, increase patient strength, or decrease or prevent deformity or crippling.
  • Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Test and measure patient strength, motor development, and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, or respiratory or circulatory efficiency and record data.
  • Use electrical stimulation, hot packs, cold compresses, ultrasound, and other PT interventions to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
  • Instruct patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
  • Teach patients how to use assistive and adaptive devices such as crutches, prostheses, and wheelchairs.
  • Provide educational information about physical therapy or physical therapists, injury prevention, ergonomics, or ways to promote health.
  • Evaluate, fit, or adjust prosthetic or orthotic devices or recommend modification to orthotists.
  • Supervise tech or physical therapy assistants that may be assisting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program; successful completion of clinical internship.
  • Master's degree in physical therapy preferred.
  • New Grads and Experienced therapists welcome.
  • Current state physical therapist license.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Any required CEU's for license renewal.
Compensation

$40-$51/hr
