The Driver II is a key member of the Lowe's team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries within designated markets. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Driver II will work closely with the Branch General Manager to ensure on-time delivery of orders, utilizing hand-held device technology to capture signatures and verify delivery details. This role also involves supporting warehouse operations, including pulling, checking, stocking, and other tasks as needed. The Driver II must adhere to all safety and compliance guidelines, including policy and procedure for the operation of company vehicles and warehouse equipment. Line Haul responsibilities include routing, loading, and delivering products received daily in the line haul market from a supporting branch to our customers. In Apartment Delivery (IAD) involves delivering and unloading merchandise within apartment buildings, per customer direction. Requirements include a valid state-issued driver's license, ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, and 2 years of experience with box truck driving. Preferences include 3 months of experience operating forklift/power equipment and 6 months of experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service.
