Northern Light Health Job Description

The House Manager RN is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for overseeing and coordinating admission decisions and patient care activities throughout the hospital on the assigned shift. This leadership role involves collaborating with nursing leadership to ensure safe standards of nursing practice are followed, including adequate staff coverage.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and leadership, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will be able to facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and the multi-disciplinary team, and identify and report emergent concerns to nursing leadership and the administrator on call as appropriate.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure safe standards of nursing practice are followed
  • Facilitate problem-solving and effective communication with patients, families, and the multi-disciplinary team
  • Identify and report emergent concerns to nursing leadership and the administrator on call
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership in performance management activities, including input on evaluations and identification and correction of performance deficiencies
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership for the development of the nursing staff
  • Responsible for hospital operations at the direction of nursing leadership
  • Implement emergency preparedness plans
  • Maintain and exhibit a current knowledge of the profession and participate in continuing education
Requirements:
  • BSN required
  • BLS required, ACLS obtained within 3 months of hire, PALS, TNCC, MOAB obtained within 1 year of hire
