Department Overview
The Georgia Tech Post Office is dedicated to fulfilling all mailing requirements. We offer a range of services including package dispatch, mail supplies, and more. Our virtual mailbox service is available for students residing on campus, along with a designated area for package collection.

Job Summary

This role involves managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of items across campus, which may encompass mail, packages, materials, and supplies. The position requires consistent interaction with supervisors, colleagues, and delivery recipients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receive and verify incoming shipments.
2. Prepare, load, and account for items designated for delivery.
3. Identify recipients and deliver items, which may necessitate operating a motor vehicle.
4. Provide guidance to fellow courier staff as needed.
5. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of loading and receiving areas, as well as mail and supply rooms.
6. Keep accurate inventory and delivery logs.
7. Address and resolve customer inquiries effectively.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or vocational school diploma.
Experience:
Two to four years of relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities

This position demands proficiency in managing inventory and delivering supplies, including scheduling and maintaining associated records, as well as operating loading/unloading equipment and vehicles. Strong customer service skills are essential.
