Therapeutic Health Services (THS) is a leading provider of behavioral health treatment, programs and services for children, youth, and families with substance use and mental health disorders.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Security Monitor and Community Liaison who will be based at our Everett location. This individual will ensure the safety and security of our premises by monitoring parking lots and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will assist in guiding vehicles, report suspicious behavior, and foster constructive interactions with clients and staff. De-escalation techniques and attention to detail are essential skills for this role.

The hours for this position are 6 am – 2:30 pm and Saturday 7:00am-12:30pm, with a competitive hourly rate of $21/hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor parking lots and surrounding areas for safety and security
  • Receiving training in de-escalation techniques and effectively managing tense situations
  • Familiarize yourself with all safety regulations applicable to our facilities and client care
  • Assist vehicles in entering and leaving the property safely
  • Follow designated routes to cover community “hot-spots” and maintain a visible presence
  • Observe patient behavior and promptly report any suspicious activities to supervisors
  • Direct clients away from congregating on sidewalks and ensure compliance with designated smoking areas
  • Stay vigilant of client activity within the surrounding community
  • Document incidents accurately on incident reports
  • Maintain cleanliness by clearing garbage and debris from the parking lot daily and sweeping it monthly
  • Occasionally assist with cleaning tasks inside or outside the building
  • Interact with clients and employees in a therapeutic and constructive manner
  • Proficiency in entering timesheets, responding to emails, and creating incident reports in electronic formats
  • Flexibility to perform other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Maintain a vigilant presence in designated areas and respond promptly to suspicious activities
  • Accurately document incidents using electronic formats
  • Wear highly visible vest and other safety equipment as required
  • Courteous and considerate to all clients and staff
  • Project a positive image of THS while enforcing established policies and procedures
  • Use a computer and electronic timesheet
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word
  • Trained on HIPAA and 42 CFR part 2 regulations and verbal de-escalation techniques
