We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join our team at American Rental Association. As a diesel mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on complex equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest level of service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair of Complex Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of rental and customer equipment, using advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Training and Development: Assist in the training of lower-level technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills.
- Documentation and Administration: Maintain accurate and complete records of work performed, including work orders and other documentation.
- Equipment Management: Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools.
- Skills: Advanced mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of tools, and extensive knowledge of construction equipment.
- Tools: Must own tools applicable to the position.
- Communication: Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
