Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Clinical Staff Nurse in the ICU Full Time Nights position. This role requires a strong clinical practice and management of patient care, with a focus on delivering high-quality, individualized patient/family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process as a problem-solving model to anticipate and plan to meet patient and family needs.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments to target areas most productive for a given patient population or situation.
  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues using the SBAR method.
  • Perform documentation of patient care, including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and the Watson Model of Care.
  • Anticipate variables affecting patient comfort and alter physical and psychosocial interventions accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with Care Managers to coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning.
  • Review all orders on patients and communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and other team members.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care nursing.
  • Current California Nursing license.
  • Certification in Critical Care Nursing preferred.
  • Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
