Job SummaryWe are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team in an outpatient dialysis center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, and educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Perform hemodialysis machine setup and maintenance
- Provide education to patients on kidney dialysis-related topics
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire to enter the healthcare field to care for others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
