Sentara Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct phlebotomy and clinical duties, working directly with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and verify patient information.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.
- Certification in one of the following programs: CCMA, CMA, RMA, or EMT-B.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or as an EMT, Paramedic, and/or Corpsman.
- Phlebotomy experience and electronic medical records experience preferred.
