About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society's Mary Jane Brown long term care center. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
  • Assist with basic health care needs, including daily living activities, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
