Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment according to regulatory standards
  • Assist Physician(s) and Nurse Manager in ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment
  • Obtain and return supplies and equipment as needed
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized Central Sterile area
  • Report any unusual occurrences or incidents to the Clinical Director
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • 0-3 years of experience in a surgical setting
  • Current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-services
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease
  • Manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skills
