Job Description

Southwest Florida Pain Center, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our team of medical professionals dedicated to reducing or eliminating pain using the latest interventional pain management techniques.

We offer a state-of-the-art on-site surgical suite, providing unmatched convenience and precision. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and we are looking for a like-minded individual to join us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health by conducting thorough interviews and physical examinations, and reviewing medical histories.
  • Determine abnormal conditions by ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and MRIs.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient electronic records.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures as needed, under the supervision of a licensed physician.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
  • Prescribe medication as needed, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide assistance to physicians during medical procedures and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and techniques by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

Essential Requirements:

  • Completion of a PA program.
  • PA license.
  • Current DEA certificate.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience with an EMR preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
